Yes, the poor little Polo tugged as hard as it could and finally, about twelve years after being put there, the boat has been moved from Margaret's house to ours!
We wanted to do this last year but didn't have a car to tow. Once we sorted that part out a couple of months ago, we tried once but were missing a few things. Second attempt we turned up with those things (there's a whole new world of things once you start dealing with boats and trailers), only to find that yet another thing was missing!
Got that thing earlier this week from Liz's dad and this morning we had enough things to move the boat!
Liz planned a route to avoid roundabouts and speed humps (not sure how well all the things were going to hold together), and once at our place the three of us (Margaret was driving along behind just in case it all fell apart) managed to push the boat into a suitable hiding place at the end of our driveway.
There's a looooong way to go until this thing could conceivably go anywhere near water, but progress is progress, and now Margaret's house looks a bit better for potential buyers.
In the water this summer would be nice, but is probably a bit optimistic.
