We got back yesterday from a great long weekend away staying in a house in Wentworth Falls with friends Sarah, Derek and Pearl. It was quite a lot of fun as an over-sized family and a great place to stay.
The
photos tell most of the story, but highlights include:
- Nice well-renovated two-story house with lots of heating, almost too much. A pleasant change to our previous trip away!
- Phoebe mostly behaving herself and sleeping at reasonably sensible hours. I said mostly.
- Not thinking about work.
- Being out of Sydney in the fresh cool air, yet it only took us 45 minutes to get home (from Glenbrook)
- Derek and I competing in the Woodford to Glenbrook mountain bike ride.
- Me not breaking anything too serious, although I have some nasty grazes and a very sore arm which will need X-raying.
- Derek and I having sole custody of the young ladies for a few hours, taking them to the Leura Toy and Railway museum, which I'd describe as an impressive house and gardens filled with an interesting array of old toys and a poorly-displayed collection of model railways.
- Playing with the new camera
- A break from the dog. But we missed her!
